Congressional Election – November 2000 – Colorado Central Magazine
Besides the Republican incumbent, Scott McInnis of Grand Junction, and the Democratic nominee, Curtis Imrie of Buena Vista, there are two other candidates actively campaigning to represent the people of Colorado’s third congressional district.
They are Drew Sakson, the Libertarian Party nominee, and Victor Good, the Reform Party candidate.
Sakson is a 42-year-old mortgage banker who has lived in Carbondale for the past eight years. Good, 38, describes himself as a landscape architect by training and an entrepreneur by livelihood; he lives in Lewis, in the Four Corners area.
The two minor-party candidates were not invited to the Action 22 debate in Pueblo on Sept. 16, and so of course their views are not reflected in that transcript.
In the interest of keeping things interesting, and to reflect the variety of political expression in rural Colorado, we offer these selections from these candidates’ presentations.
