The Luther Bean Museum at Adams State College is open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Tuesday – Friday (closed when the college is closed); donations accepted. Luther Bean Museum, Richardson Hall, 2nd Floor, Adams State College, 208 Edgemont Blvd., Alamosa, CO 81102; 719-587-7151; www.adams.edu/lutherbean.

The Luther Bean Museum will also be open on Saturday, September 27, to participate in Museum Day, a special event organized by Smithsonian Magazine to encourage attendance at participating museums and cultural venues nationwide. Free general admission is offered to visitors who present a “Museum Day” admission card; the card is available in the September issue of Smithsonian Magazine or is downloadable at http://microsite.smithsonianmag.com/museumday.

And from September 29-October 17, the museum hosts the “Adams State College Homecoming 75th Anniversary Exhibit.” The college’s first homecoming game was November 17, 1933 against Fort Lewis College of Durango.
