Letter from Andy Burns
Colorado Central – April 2005 – Colorado Central Magazine
Colorado Central,
I’m reading Sibley’s book [Drangons in Paradise]and enjoying it very much. And if I can find that January copy I’ll reread Ed’s review. I was wondering which issue that was in and found the answer on page 12 of the March issue. Mountain Gazette is a handsome and rugged publication but I’ve never found much of interest between the covers. I’ve got the February issue around here somewhere and if I come across it, I’ll check out page 7, sounds interesting – recycled Colorado Central.
You can’t write letters to the editor in mainstream magazines in this 21st century. They only accept e-mail. Many, many organizations are available only through computers. I was telling some political people during the last virtual election that fully ½ of the people (consumers) of America don’t have computers. “Don’t you want to reach them?” I asked. They seemed genuinely taken aback, startled that they were missing all those faith-based votes. (When I voted it reminded me of playing air guitar.)
I enjoyed the heck out of Ed’s computer tales last month (and 2 or 3 other ones in the past) and John Mattingly’s response (page 30) in the March edition.
O.K., I’ve fulfilled my yearly obligation. Please find payment enclosed for another 12 months. And thank you Martha for answering my questions about those good book reviewers. You guys are always so responsive.
Andy Burns

P.S.: Monika Griesenbeck’s art work is superb.
