4-6 p.m. Opening reception for “Saving the Fort” exhibit with conducted tours.
Saturday, June 21
10 a.m. Parade through the town of Fort Garland, commemorating move from Fort Massachusetts to Fort Garland in 1858.
10:45 a.m. Raising of colors on parade ground.
11 a.m. Welcome by dignitaries.
1:15 p.m. 1st Volunteers Band Concert on parade grounds.
2 p.m. Fort Garland Memorial Regiment mounted cavalry drills.
2:45 p.m. Officers’ Wives High Tea.
3 p.m. Artillery Company of New Mexico drills.
4 p.m. New Mexico Infantry Volunteers marching drills.
5 p.m. Retreat.
7 p.m. Regimental Ball at Mess Hall. (Period dress only.)
Sunday, June 22
9 a.m. Raising of colors.
9:15 a.m. Non-denominational prayer/hymn service.
10:15 a.m. Fort Garland Memorial Regiment cavalry drills.
11 a.m. Artillery Company of New Mexico drills.
Noon, Lunch available from vendors.
1 p.m. Impersonations: Capt. Theodore H. Dodd by Jack Rudder, and others
