Central Clarification
The Salida City Council decided not to consider a resolution against the Iraq war, which was brought by the Central Colorado Coalition on the Iraq War. That had inspired a couple of letter writers (to the Salida Mountain Mail) to say they were tired of “Central Colorado” entities.
For the record, Colorado Central Magazine and Central Colorado Publishing Co. are not affiliated with any other Central Colorado organization or enterprise, be it the Central Colorado Regional Airport, Central Colorado Kitchens, Central Colorado Humanists, etc.
But wWe generally like the idea of Central Colorado names for regional enterprises and organizations, because it helps build a regional identity, and that’s one reason we started this magazine. But we’re affiliated only with the entity you’re reading now.
