Letter from Greg Hobbs
Colorado Central – July 2005 – Colorado Central Magazine
Dear Editors,
You have welcomed more letters. I am sure after all the work you writers and editors do to shape up this magazine through the months and years, you like to hear what readers think.
I think the magazine is interesting, provoking, informative, and sometimes delightfullly zany. I always find something to enjoy.
So thanks. I hope the poem below somehow expresses the effort that goes into the mix of light and heat you generate for this community of writers and readers. May it grow in a good way.
Sincerely,
Greg Hobbs
Denver
EMBER MIX
Today’s Colorado Central magazine is half-burned wood
some writer guys have pressed their stubby fingers to,
at best a low grade flame at the bottom of a grate.
A reader with a hand-held bellows is required
to compress the needed aggravating air
into the ember mix.
